About DosePlan
DosePlan was created to make a calculation many people do by hand simpler and safer: how many units to draw into an insulin syringe to reach the prescribed dose in mg.
What makes it different
- Step by step: one question at a time, with help finding the concentration on the label.
- No clutter: you type the dose instead of picking from a grid of buttons.
- Complete summary: several doses and several medications in one summary.
- Made for patients: a clean printout and a read-only share link.
- Private: calculations stay on your device.
The math
Concentration (mg/mL) = mg in the vial ÷ mL of diluent. Volume (mL) = dose ÷ concentration. Units = volume × 100 on a U-100 syringe.
